I am on a raspberry pi 3 running the official retropie 4.3 image with a mounted hard drive containing roms. I was running a raspberry pi 3 on the official retropie 4.2 image with the mounted hard drive, but the hdmi port broke on it. So I moved the drive onto a new pi with a fresh install of retropie. I then proceeded to load up the game I was currently playing, Mario and Luigi, Superstar Saga, only to find that my saves were not loading. I had checked, and my .srm and .state files were untouched. they had been working just a little earlier today. I have since scoured the internet, made a fresh mount with the saves and roms reinstalled on it, tried a fresh install of retropie 4.2, want back to 4.3, added a bios to the mounted drive in the BIOS folder, and redirected retroarch config to point to the bios. All to no avail. I am at my wits end, Please help

Nevermind. I renamed my .srm file to .sav after copying it over form my backup again, and it worked!

That’s handy to know, when I moved my lad’s system from a zero to a pi3, I had issues with saves. Thanks
