Could someone point me to a site where I can get some of these great games for my RetroPi? I've tried read the forum rules! but that doesn't always have games that work with RetroPi.

My Pi is used to mainly play:
          Pretty soldier Sailor moon (mame)
          R-type (mame)
          Puzzle bobble (mame)
          Gallop (mame)

Since discovering mame, the console versions of games arent doing it for me anymore, my console gaming has moved to a Wii, with the hope that it will play Wii, gamcube and N64 as well as the other pi capable systems. heres to hoping.

Coding for RetroPie (all): Love the high from completing a feature!
Earthbound (snes): Got a hacked version with new game plus. The battle system is unique.
Super Mario RPG (snes): Mario + RPG is awesome. Plus bowser can throw Mario at enemies.
Castlevania Symphony of the Night (psx): Friend recommended it. Love the Medusa shield!
Chrono Trigger (snes): It has new game plus, great storyline, and cool combo moves.

                    2. Darius G also for PSX.
                    3. Dodonpachi (MAME) IMO the best Shmup of all time. Greatest scoring-system ever. As all Arcade Games i play without continues and reach Level 6.
                    4. and 5): Paperboy (reach Friday) and Outrun (played through the easy route last week). Simply because i love these games since decades.

                            1. Spyro The Dragon (PS1) Almost played this through, been a fun game.
                            2. Dino Crisis (PS1) Got a bit stuck in it couple days ago, but still highly enjoyable and challenging game.
                            3. Super Mario All-Stars + SMW (SNES) Do this need any words ? Propably the coolest collection package of all time.
                            4. Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire (PS1) Maybe a bit of an oddball to you, but this is a forgotten gem.
                            5. Metal Slug X (PS1) If you ever need to play something with simple gameplay mechanics and just jump into it, this is it.

@retroprogrammer @RichardBr so many Sly Spy fans! :) I'm overjoyed!

@DD-Indeed question: why Metal Slug X on the PS1 instead of on FBA? Any specific reason? Just curious. I love the game on the arcade.

Why bother putting another emulator for it, when it can be played alongside other PS1 titles I have ? :) Doesn't really matter, as it it 2D sprited game anyway.

@dd-indeed that's fair, it was an honest question as it could be that it had any particularly different modes, performed better, etc.

                                    Thanks!

I even have Metal slug 7 (XX) running and looking awesome on the ppsspp emulator.

                                        Let´s go:

1- Streep Hoop - Neo Geo (the best VS street basketball ever!!!)
2- Twinkle Star Sprites - Mame (when you catch the rules of the game the VS goes to crazy intense lvls :_D)
4- Parasol Star - PC Engine (similar to bubble bobble but more hard (no free lives) and with secret worlds)
                                        4- Golden axe 1,2,3 - Mame (:P)
                                        5- Donkey kong 1,2,3 - SNES

80's gamer here, so they pre-date NES....

                                            1. M.U.L.E. (C-64 version) - imo, best game design of all time, I think Ozark software play tested this so much that I've never heard or found any bugs, damn near perfect. Not to mention one of the most "reactive" computer A.I.'s determined to make your experience different every time. Don't waste time with the NES version unless you like it watered down, C-64 was best in terms of replay (random playfield EVERY time it loaded), Atari 400/800 was extremely good also for the 4 player input options (but only around 256 different preprogrammed fields, could be somewhat unfair playing against vets). After 30+ years, I still play this game.....
                                            2. Seven Cities of Gold (C-64) - once again, Ozark programming at it's finest. Probably one of the first games ever in which you choose peaceful or warlike interaction with the A.I....
                                            3. Time Pilot (Mame) - fast shooter fix for burning off caffeine grind....
                                            4. Tempest (Mame) - see #3
                                            5. Crazy Climber (Mame) - well....I was hooked on it for a bit after buying a controller with analog sticks, but now I'm pissed at it...the A.I. on this arcade machine was just plain wrong....designed to be harder depending on the last few scores, with a cooldown period until it went back to somewhat "normal" difficulty...if you get past first level in one life, it's determined NOT to let you past the next one....almost broke my controller....
