Easily changing which controllers are player 1,2,3 etc.

I think it would be cool if the settings for the controllers made it easy to assign which controllers went to which players. My main thing is I would like to be able to have multiple types of controllers plugged in and be able to switch controllers easily when going to different systems without having to unplug and plug in controllers. Also I have been unable to figure out how to disable my wireless PS4 controller when I want to switch to a more old school wired controller and have to restart the system in order to change controllers.
