      I've finally found prboom-plus which is in zerojay's which is awesome
      Because the other one prboom that's there is the old one so we finally got the new one..
      But I'm stuck...
      I have no idea how to load my custom wads I only know how to do it with zdoom
      but with prboom plus I'm so lost...
      I tried to look at the retropie site on how to do it with the old prboom way
      But I can't seem to get it to work can anyone help me in steps on what to do?
      Because I would rly like to jump over from zdoom to prboom plus...

          @retrofreak89 Just because PrBoom+ is present in @zerojay(sorry for the spam!)'s repo it doesn't mean he actually played it. Search the PB+ documentation and see how you start it with different (i)WADs and use the ZDoom launching scripts as a start to design your own PrBoom scripts.

              @retrofreak89 said in How to Launch Prboom-Plus Wads?:

              also looked at that documentation in zerojay

              Why would there be documentation for PRBoom+ in that place ? Have you searched the PrBoom+ documentation ? This is what I suggested.
              If you don't find enough documentation, drop down to a command line and try to launch prboom to see what command line arguments it expects.

                  @retrofreak89 The installer for pr-boom is using your WAD files from the ports/doom folder, inside the ROM path, and launches them using the Pr-Boom executable - does this work ?
                  For custom WADs, use the documentation at https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Doom/ , the To Launch Doom Mods (PWADS) part , and substitute zdoom with prboom-plus, adjusting the paths accordingy (i.e. instead of /opt/retropie/ports/zdoom/zdoom it's probably /opt/retropie/ports/prboom-plus).

                    @mitu ive tried that for example

                    My Zdoom knee deep in the dead wad says this

                    zdoom = "/opt/retropie/ports/zdoom/zdoom -iwad /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/doom/doom2.wad -file /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/doom/kdizd.pk3" default = "zdoom"
                    default = "zdoom

                    See everywhere were it says Zdoom?
                    I changed that to prboom-plus it still didnt work
                    :(

                    They are all in the ports/doom folder but i just cant seem to figure out how to load wads with it so frusterating ive been trying for 2 days now ughh

                      @retrofreak89 You messed up the first line - remove the default="zdoom", that's already on the 2nd line.
                      Make sure the path to prboom-plus is correct - press F4 and exit ES, then run the prboom-plus using the path you used, see if it works - otherwise correct it and try again.
                      You basically have the command in the file you posted, so you could copy the complete commmand line with the parameters there and then execute it directly to see if it works.

                          @retrofreak89 Do you get any error when you execute

                          /opt/retropie/ports/prboom-plus/prboom-plus -iwad /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/doom/doom2.wad -file /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/doom/pwad/sunlust.wad
