So i know absolutely nothing about raspberry pi, Im gifting this to my brothers for christmas and through tutorials and guides i was able to get the n64 roms and snes roms to work. But when i started trying to get the sega genesis roms on there i had issues. Some of them wouldn't scare the right game (would just skip even after i tried to change the input). After trying to work some roms most of them worked, but it seems there were a few that didn't work.
In alphabetical order all the games from Mortal Kombat 5 - Streets of Rage 3 didnt work, they are all bin files and i got them off the same website as all the other roms. All the other roms work and theyre a mix of smd and bin files. Can i get any help? I have a raspberry pi3 with the lastest image of retropie on a 64gb sd card. Idk what to do.

When i try to select those game it shows me the menu to select the emulators (neither of them work) and the screen just goes black until i exit out of the game. Any help would be appreciated.

also if i need to add files like BIOS or cue can someone guide me through that? like how to add them specifically?

      Thanks
      Sincerely,

      Someone who doesn't know anything.

@luisv96 According to the docs (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Genesis-Megadrive/) you shouldn't need any BIOS to make this work. Since other games for the emulator work, then you might have a bad ROM, so I'd suggest trying another ROM version for the games that don't work.
You could also enable verbose logging in the emulator, through the Runcommand launch menu (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Runcommand/#runcommand-launch-menu) and try to spot any errors reported in the log file - /dev/shm/runcommand.log - when you start the game.

@luisv96 are the roms from a certain region? Ie: europe usa or japan.

What do you mean "nothing happens"? Did you check the log in/dev/shm/runcommand.log ?
