@darkside1305 Is the nds folder present in the /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg file ? Installing the emulator from the RetroPie setup scripts should add the DS as a system with the nds folder in that file.

@darkside1305 You said you didn't have a custom es_systems.cfg, but it turns out you have one.

@darkside1305 Do you have a new es_systems.cfg in the /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/ folder now ?

@mitu this happens during updates too. That is how i first ended up with it. I never heard of doing this before that. I keep it though so i can arrange my systems how i want.

The /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation is actually the same folder as /home/pi/.emulationstation, the latter being a symlink to the former.

Emulationstation reads the custom file in /home/pi/.emulationstation, then - if the 1st doesn't exist - the default one /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg (installed and maintained by the RetroPie setup script).

I never got any upgrade to ever write a custom ES systems file in that folder, but I'm only using RetroPie since 4.2.0 - so it might have been a problem in the past.
