Diablo psx music stops
-
Hey there people,
has anyone tried to run psx diablo in retropie? It runs very fine, however, every few seconds music stops when i'm in the first town. If I pause and unpause music comes back for a few more seconds, before it stops once again. I don't think it has anything to do with .cue, since it finds the music fine. I believe it is something from the emulator's sound settings. Thanks!

Retropie 4.3

rpi 3b

Same issue here, seems to be a general bug.

I tried with different BIOS files just in case this was a poorly documented bug with the actual game+hardware but I had no luck. There doesn't seem to be anything the end user can do to mitigate it apart from waiting for an update to the emulator.

Thanks for the input! Guess waiting it is then! -
Did anyone ever get the music issue fixed? The music keeps stopping while playing. Bug report here: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/20239/diablo-1-psx-music-stops-playing

Hi, problem fix : Enjoy.
Except ePSXE is not part of RetroPie, so it's not really a fix. PCSX_Rearmed got a fix for this, but it's not part of the Libretro core.

Have you generated a .cue file?

Hi, Sorry Mitu, I didn't check what really was "retropie", I just wanted to help :)
@IceChes1 Hi, No i don't even know what a .cue file is...

This site is a .cue generator. You drag your game ROM into the box, and then copy and paste the text into a text document. Save the text document, rename it the same thing your ROM is named, change .txt to .cue and simply put the .cue into your PSX folder. Retropie won't register it as a game. Tell me if this helps.

Btw, This issue looks like it's resolved in the libretro pcsxrearmed core. There is an option listed for "Diablo music fix" in the retroarch menu which I would assume takes care of the issue.
