Video snap aspect

Hello all I have a question that I've been searching for an answer for a while and have not been able to find. I am running emulationstation and use the hursty blue theme. My question is on some of the video snaps like game boy for the video does not fill the whole area and leaves black bars on both sides. Is it possible to somehow have the video fill the entire area? I've noticed if i use the theme in attract mode the black bars are not there. If anyone has any idea help would be appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

I was able to solve this by editing the theme.xml file in the hurstyblue folder.
