My Super Pitendo SNES Case Mod

Hello community!!!
Today is my birthday and I´ve finished my mod project!
THE SUPER PITENDO!!!
Things I used for...
Console:
-RPI3 + original power supply
-ControlBlock (for I/O switch and controller support)
-SNES case
-SNES cartridge (just decoration)
-Extensions for HDMI, USB, USB-Micro and stereo jack (female connectors are where the original connetors have been)
-Passive cooling system (Does anyone knows an active system that fits between a RPI and a ControlBlock?)
-WDLabs PiDrive 3.14
-Some wires
Controller:
-2 original SNES controller
-4 Playstation DS4 controller - Anniversary Edition in PS1 grey
-4 DS4 button sets (red, green, blue, yellow)
-DS4 charging station
Sideproject: storage cartridge
-SNES cartridge (no space for a pin connector... maybe I can use a metal plate)
-WDLabs PiDrive 1TB (This fits perfect in a SNES cartridge)
Special features:
-Eject mechanism and cartridge slot is still intact and it feels awesome!!!Projects for the future:
-Working RESET button (Has anyone a clue?)
-Booting the system from a SNES cartridge (Has anyone a clue?)And OF COURSE I use the SNES Mini theme :)
This was just possible because of the amazing RetroPie community and I want to say thank you to all of you!!!
I´ve started this project as a total noob... knowing nearly nothing about programming and technical stuff. But everybody is growing with each task and challenge.Special thanks to FLOOB and ETA PRIME for your very helpful tutorials!

Super awesome! I'll have consider starting up a mod like this too for my own Raspberry Pi. Really like the touch on the PS4 controllers too. If you still have them, I'd be interested in seeing the tutorials you used. -

when you put the Cartridge in the ROMs come but when the cartridge isn't in then their aren't any ROMs, like running ROMs of a USB:

Oh the tuts are mostly from FLOOB, ETA PRIME and the RetroPie Wiki.
I´ve started with RetroPie 3.xx, today we have 4.3 and so many things changed to date. Also there are many tuts useless now. Example: DS4 Driver. The DS4 controller is now working out of the box with the on board bluetooth. Nowadays the only thing you need for this project is the ControlBlock instruction :D everything else is plug and play or least well documented in the retropie wiki. -

@SuperPitendo So are you going to have your ROMs stored in a USB drive

@superpitendo You can always keep your ROMs on an USB - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Running-ROMs-from-a-USB-drive/. For booting of an USB drive/stick, check https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/bootmodes/msd.md.

@SuperPitendo @mitu You could also have it as if you have a system on one SD card and when you want to play another system just switch SD cards for the system, only problem is you would need quiet a lot of SD cards, but if that means you could store
64 GB16 GB of SNES games, I'm all for it(if I had the cashI have the cash, 16 GB that's nothing:) Just an Idea!Here is me converting the original Xbox for a case:

Now I store my games on the sd card. The PiDrive is for movies. A 64 GB from WD Labs would fit good in a snes cart :) -
@SuperPitendo The thing is how would you get the SD card that is inside the SNES cartridge get the the Raspberry pi SD card port, same with the idea of running of the USB you couldn't reach the USB ports witch are inside the SNES case, one solution is you buy a USB extension wire and for the SD card idea is their such thing as a SD card extension

The whole SNES library of games is about 1.7 GB compressed, so it would probably fit on a 16 GB card.

No guys! I dont want X-thousand games on my pi.
I have just the games I like and play.
A 16 GB Card would be enough for my GBA, SNES, PSX, ARCADE and SCUMMVM games. I think they are just about 14 GB :D -
but including retro pie I think you might just make with exactly 16 GB
