      Distro: Linux Mint 17.2
      Memory: 6GB DDR3
      HDD: 640GB Western Digital

Trying to install RetroPie on my Laptop running Linux Mint from these instuctions: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Debian/ . the installation works fine up until it gets to EmulationStation. It seems to be failing to compile audiomanager.cpp

      Here are the logs: https://pastebin.com/iZV0b487

      Any help would be appreciated.

@arkanteal We had a topic last year with a similar problem - the cause is the distro's default compiler (gcc 4.8). Install gcc-4.9 (at least) and make it the default compiler on the system, then re-try the installation.

I looked for 3 days for an answer... apparently not hard enough. Thank you very much!
