I casually turned on my Pi setup and I'm treated with an all-white screen.

I changed nothing since my last nights setup. I resorted to defaulting my config.txt and it didn't help.

It's not a hardware fault because my previous setup on another card booted perfectly.

I totally need your help on this one. Could it be a file corruption? Maybe a theme file gone wrong?

The only thing that changed is that last night I updated my WinSCP version - literally nothing else.

PS: when I press F4 in order to exit ES, I get several lines of "glGetError 0x505"

Feels like the old white screen of death but this is really strange, everything on my setup is up-to-date plus I didn't change anything since Christmas (and been playing every day random titles)

Edit: re-uploaded my theme directory backup, zero change. This is driving me nuts! :(

Edit2: it's WinSCP's fault 99.9%. Be warned. I randomly open config files to edit on-the-fly with Notepad++ and when I try them again they become blank. It even did this on files that I didn't edit before (opening with blank text).

I uploaded my last known good /boot/ directory and everything is back to normal but I had to revert to the previous WinSCP version.

@matchaman It may not be just WinSCP. This has been happening a lot to me recently using samba shares on the Pi. If I open files using leafpad on my linux laptop to edit them and then save they are saving as blank files. I have to copy them to the laptop, edit them, then copy back.
It may just be a coincidence but I am aware of it and am trying to see a pattern in order to try and figure out exactly what the issue is.

This is really strange, I haven't used samba for a long time. Maybe it has to do with some RP update? It completely ruined my sanity last night :P
