MAME Player 2 issue (Player 1 starts Player 2 so can't play single player MAME)
-
I had single player MAME (lr-mame2003) working perfectly, and I set up a 2nd player through RGUI. Every button in the configuration works perfect except the Player 2 Start button (button 11 on 8bitdo N64 Gamepad). Player 1 is set up through 8bitdo's SN30 (Wireless Controller). For some reason, the B button (button 1) on the SN30 is acting as the START button for player 2, which makes single player unplayable with the SN30 since it activates a player 2, even if there is no second controller connected. I have checked through the RGUI menu for each controller, the opt/retropie/configs/arcade/retroarch.cfg file, and the opt/retropie/configs/mame-liberto/retroarch.cfg file and cannot find anything that would make Player 1's button 1 act as Player 2's button 11. Is there any other location or menu that could be overwriting my RGUI configuration? The same configuration works in Neo Geo's liberto emulator (lb-fbalpha) so it is most likely a hardcoded mame config.

Fixed! The internal MAME emulator menu (not Retroarch RGUI) had Player 1's B button set as the Player 2 Start button. I never went into that menu before so I don't know how the hell that happened, unless it is some weird default.
