      I followed the wiki page on setting up this controller. When I go to the Connect Bluetooth Devices menu in retropiesetup, nothing happens, the cursor still blinks at the bottom. Reboot is necessary. Has anyone gotten this controller to connect. And if so, what instructions did you use?

          I've had this issue when I've also had PS3 controller driver installed - doesn't play nicely with other bluetooth stuff apparently.

          It's reproducible for me, but it may not be your issue. I solved it by uninstalling it:

          sudo dpkg -r sixad

          If it does just stop forever at the flashing cursor, CTRL+C should get you back to command prompt without you needing to reboot (if I read you correctly).

          Once or twice I've had to remove and reinstall the other bluetooth software, when bluetoothctl (from the above video) shows no controller found.

          Hope that helps!

          An aside - Floob and his videos are amazing - many thanks mate, you are much appreciated (as is the whole project).

            @chavatar It will be detected when I run hcitool scan, will not connect. When I run bluetoothctl, it will freeze, requiring a reboot. Going to the menu in Retropie Setup will also freeze.

              @lilbud said in 8bitdo SFC30 Not Connecting:
              Ah ok, sorry I misread.

              You're probably going to have to give out a bit more info on your setup for someone (who actually knows stuff, unlike me) to help out. (as per forum readme). African or European swallow? ;)

                @chavatar Oh, yeah, an African swallow maybe, but not a European
                swallow, that's my point. But then of course African swallows are not migratory.

                  it connected and worked once. Upon trying again after reboot, It would say connected and the blue led would be solid, but ES reported no gamepads found.
