odd lr-mame 2010

This might be odd or not. Everytime I try to play a game using the lr-mame2010 emulator it feel like the emulator is auto setting a button to be the reset game button. I tried checking the controller setting and no button is mapped to reset game. What make it every odd is the button changes for different games. So I want to know is this something with the emulator or something im doing wrong. So I would like all the help i can get to figure this out
