      Ok. So the real issue I am running into is that the roms I am finding are not the proper version for any of the emulators installed. Thank you.

          @mox

          Thanks. I have tried that yes. The issue was that I was finding MAME 0.184 roms and FBalpha would handle some of them but not many of them. I was able to locate Mame 2003 0.78 roms for the games I was interested in and seem to be on my way now.

          Thanks for all the help guys.

            ^ also very helpful for sorting your mame ROMs. With the right .dat file I was able to filter out all non working, adult, light gun, etc.

              None of the games he mentioned will run in current fbalpha, and i think some of them will never be (naomi board).

                @alturis I use the 0.78 romset and most of them seem to work with MAME2003 okay. Occasionally I need to revert to using FBAlpha, or sometimes even Advmame0.98 but only in a very small number of cases.

                I notice you mention Bezerk (great game!), you'll also need to get hold of the sample set if you want sound with that in MAME2003. Also note there's two sets for Bezerk - bezerk.zip and bezerk1.zip - one is a lot easier to play than the other as it ramps the difficulty up slower.

                  @Alturis Actually, these are misspelled. It is berzerk.zip and berzerk1.zip

                    @alturis Also, you might realize as you fine tune your setup is that some emulators play certain games better than others. For example, look into AdvanceMAME for vector titles. Asteroids looks MUCH better at your display's native resolution--something AdvMAME can deliver, while the libretro cores do not. In addition, many folks use FBA for neogeo titles. Finally, I seem to remember spyhunter has problems in lr-mame2003 so you may need to turn to another MAME (and romset) to play it.
