Howdy guys -- hope yo are doing fine.

I am trying to configure an 'Insert Coin' to my raspberry (retropie). I bought an 'insert coin' CH-923 and I was able to connect it at my joystick .

When I am configuring the Hotkey on EmulationStation, I throw my coin and it is detected with value -Axi2; that means that the 'insert coin' works OK (on my thoughts ). But when I change to AttracMode and try configure the controls input on Mame or NeoGeo: 1) I don't get the coin option in controllers of emulator & 2) The value -Axi2 doesnt appear as a configurable option.

I had an idea, I configured the 'Insert coin' on L3 Trigger button on EmulationStation (L3Trigger button value is -Axi2, I went back to AttracMode and configure the select button with value L3Trigger but the problem persists, I throw the coin and it is not recognized as a credit.

Do you have a recommendation to apply here?

@karac You may already know this but the COIN button in MAME is usually mapped to the SELECT button on console controllers. That may help you if you are looking for the function in RetroArch or others. SELECT=COIN on libretro arcade emulators.

Which emu are you using for MAME/NeoGeo?

If you're using a libretro emu, you should be able to go into the RA menu (Hotkey+X by default), go to controls and there should be controls for User 1 Coin 1, User 2 Coin 2, etc.

Set them all to the same input, whichever input your coin controller is mapped to.

Do you have other buttons available on your USB joystick encoder? Maybe try setting it to another button instead of an axis?
