Hi how do i go about mapping my gamepad as a mouse for msdos?
-
@bubbypop666 To use lr-dosbox instead of the default standalone version of DOSBox, you need to launch the runcommand menu. More info: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Runcommand/
-
Now lr dosbox is coming up with this
You need a vesa compatible svga display -
@bubbypop666 Which game are you trying?
-
@dudleydes conquest of the new world
-
@bubbypop666 it works in the other version
-
Do i have to change somthing in video options?thanks
-
@bubbypop666 You can try changing the machine type in the RGUI.
Launch Conquest of the New World and bring up the RGUI by pressing Select+X. In
Quick Menu
, chooseOptions
. TheMachine Type
should default tovgaonly
. Change this tosvga_s3
and then exit lr-dosbox.Relaunch Conquest of the New World.

-
@bubbypop666 In the same
Options
menu, there is the option to change the number of CPU cycles. Try playing around these values until it's playable. -
@dudleydes thanks sorry one last thing the sound has gone now lol
-
@bubbypop666 Have you set up the sound by running
SETUP.EXE
?If not, then run it and select
Auto Detect Sound Hardware
from the Main Menu, then continue when prompted. Accept the results and then you can test in the main menu. -
@dudleydes yes tried that everything is perfect apart from that i get sound on the rest of the emulators
-
@bubbypop666 was getting choppy sound before i adjusted the cpu cycle
-
@bubbypop666 Do you get sound using the standalone version of DOSBox?
