      i'm trying to edit setting with in a config file, any i've found some infomation that i can cut and paste

      stupid question alert? not sure i even want to ask

      Okay so how do i cut and paste to a command line, its on a website on my other pc am i missing something simple like being able to access my pi from my PC.

      I dont want to type anything at the risk of making a mistake plus it 20+ lines

        If you are using windows, it's easiest to set up WinSCP to access the Pi via SFTP. If you have Notepad++ installed, you can set up WinSCP to allow you to edit files via Notepad++ (or probably other editors as well.

        If you want to edit on the Pi, Ctrl+K and Ctrl+U are cut and paste for a line. (http://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2013/11/quick-guide-to-nano-text-editor-on-the-raspberry-pi/)

        I personally find the SFTP with editor app on a computer to be a lot easier to manage though.

          Personally, I would encourage yoU to retype it in. It'll help you understand what you're doing, which is always useful, especially if you have to troubleshoot stuff down the line!
