          https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/#samba-shares

          its enabled by default

in windows type \retropie in the address bar or if on MAC OS X open finder, select "Go" menu and "Connect to Server". Type smb://retropie and hit "Connect".

I dont think you can access the samba share using android, as the browser will try to connect to a webpage

if your using windows , you would open file exploer and type \retropie which gives you access to 4 folders (roms, bios,)

but if your already using FTP to transfer roms, then probably no point trying to get samba to work on android

@bubbypop666 Samba does not work on android (without a client, google it) Samba is a Windows file sharing protocol that Linux can access., using smb.

think you might need to connect under port 22 or sftp

                        have you tried that ?

also you need to enable SSH for the FTP to work, has FTP been working already?

Sorry, I'm going to call time on this right here, right now. None of this has anything to do with RetroPie. Why are you even posting this here?
