Possibly a very particular issue but I can't find an answer anywhere.

I started of with an 128gb image, I've tweaked it over the last few weeks and decided all I wanted on the image was psx, Amiga and scummvm ROMs, so I removed 60gb worth of content. I love the image now I've scraped all the art, I've tweaked the theme and I'm happy I've removed all txt from boot.

However I'm wasting an 128gb sd card for 60gb So i thought I'd backup the image and write it to a 64gb SD card.

The issue is my backup is still 128gb anyway I can reduce the partition or something to make it 64gb?

      Thanks is in advance.

@blonqe https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first - we do not support 3rd party images.

You can find info on shrinking images here https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/4843/how-to-shrink-a-retropie-image

@blonqe See https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/ for backup options. You can copy your ROMs over and save the artwork/gamelist, then transfer them to the new card.
An alternative is pishrink, but you'll need a Linux system to shrink your backup image https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/4843/how-to-shrink-a-retropie-image/10

@BuZz @mitu Thanks both for your help, I've been away for a week so was unable to try your suggestions.

My image by the way was from scratch on a 128gb SD card, I just didn't want to start again as it took me along time to set the configs, screensavers etc quickest route would be to shrink partitions and remove the unwanted systems input on as I wanted my Amiga and psx systems separate.

Anyway I'm pleased to say pishrink worked great. Got it down to 63gb 😀

@blonqe apologies if I sounded accusatory with my link - thanks for the info. Most posts that mention 128gb images are downloaded etc. Cheers
