      Hi all,
I have been having issues with lr-Mame2003 ingame menu ignore any new inputs/controls I set and revert to some old config file didn't somewhere. As such I can't use HotKey combination to exit straight from a game back to emulation station. I get a Retroarch menu and have to select close content the quit retroarch. If I go down through the mame2003 menu whilst in a game each time I move down to a control option it is selecting it like I want to change what button is used.

Am I better off stuffing around for hours on end trying to fix this all up or am I better off backing up all my ROMS and reloading the PI?

It is doubly annoying as the new version of AMIBERRY now relies on the retroarch controls.

      Thanks,
      Dwarfboysim

is your problem with mame2003 or all retroarch emulators? it's no clear to me from your post.

mame2003. I have just tested retroarch itself and it seems to be behaving. Amiberry now accepts the hotkey sequence based off retroarch to quit. Mame2003 is the problem

it's a bit of a worry that amiberry wasn't previously working, but to reset mame2003 to defaults you can do this:

            delete:
/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/config/ (everything called MAME 2003 and everything in the MAME 2003 folder)
            /opt/retroarch/configs/mame-libretro/retroarch.cfg
            /opt/retroarch/configs/arcade/retroarch.cfg
            /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/arcade/mame2003/cfg/ (everything)
            /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/mame2003/cfg/ (everything)
            /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/arcade/mame2003/ (any .cfg files)
            /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/mame2003/ (any .cfg files)

then IMMEDIATELY reinstall lr-mame2003 via retropie-setup to generate correct default cfgs. don't load lr-mame2003 at any point before this, otherwise it will create a bunch of useless .cfgs)

              Hi all,
Ended up doing a clean install of Retropie and all running beautifully.

              Thanks,
              Dwarfboysim
