@rhester72 You'll have to wait until the RetroPie team updates their RetroArch, which I would think would come about after RetroArch 1.7.2 is stable.

I built directly from the current (i.e. 6 hours old) libretro source using RetroPie's build script (i.e. I removed the git tag for v1.7.1 and had it pull current, applying the two RetroPie-specific patches) - it's still busted. Unless there's something RetroPie-specific to this issue (which I can't imagine being the case), I still think whatever's going on is upstream...but that brings me back to the question of why nobody else is complaining. :)

@rhester72 Well, the most likely people to be playing multi-disc games in RetroArch are the ones playing PSX, and they have the alternative options of a single PBP containing all the discs (and I'll bet that is what most do) or a M3U playlist for single disc PBPs, CHDs, or converted to single bin & cue discs.

Probably - I'm doing m3u with CHDs myself for PSX. The other systems potentially impacted (Atari 800, MSX, VICE beta) are considerably more obscure than Sega CD.

Personally, I'm trying to get Penn and Teller running and some of the games require Disc 2 to be put in after being selected on Disc 1.

What part of 'Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors' requires this to take place?

@ryguy176 Same here. Same problem described by @rhester72

I can't get disk changes via lr-picodrive to work even with Sega CD (i.e. non-32X) games - when I try to attach the new disk via "append disc image", I select the cue file, confirm the desired emulator is picodrive, and then lr-picodrive restarts with the new disc inserted - it's the restart that's causing the problem.

                    Does lr-picodrive support m3u playlists?

@saccublenda Ive found switching between discs was an issue when select-x to retroarch menu When using bin. and .cue roms. Try using just .iso roms for mutli disk games like night trap and ground zero texas. Worked for me
