I keep getting this every time I try to start up Retropie. Some info:
I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3B, with newest version of Retropie for 2/3
I've tried 2 different 8gb micro SD cards, both didn't work.
When I write it with the img, it creates another disk called USB Disk (G:) or something like that.
When I hold shift right before it starts booting up, it just shows a blank screen with the 4 berries at the top.
I've also tried redownloading the img from the website but didn't work.
Just saw the proper layout for a post, here's more specific info
Pi Model or other hardware: 3B
Power Supply used: 5V USB block
RetroPie Version Used : 4.3
Built From: retropie-4.3-rpi2_rpi3.img
USB Devices connected: Keyboard
Controller used: PS3
Error messages received: ---[ end Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(179,2)
It looks like the image is not correctly written to the SD card. How did you write the image ?

I have received this error after a system crash and also after a forced power off by unplugging the PI. You may need to reinstall the image.
I select the micro SD card, select the .img, then I click write.
Anyone know if this is solvable? I can't seem to find a solution
@collcroc123 try etcher
@herb_fargus That seemed to work, thanks!
