Controller used: SNES style USB controller by Innext
Error messages received: error in '/opt/retropie/supplementary/emulationstation/emulationstation' smallbin double linked list corrupted
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant): No log
How to replicate the problem: Was simply browsing the collection after playing a game

      Hi all,

Was just playing my Retropie when it crashed out of nowhere. I updated my image about two weeks ago and it hasn't been updated since so I'm still on 4.3.11. Dunno what it is now. It crashed to the command line, the error is below:

error in '/opt/retropie/supplementary/emulationstation/emulationstation' smallbin double linked list corrupted

I wasn't especially doing anything, just browsing. I have some music installed using this script which has never been an issue previously, though I did update the music yesterday with some new tracks. I noticed that it was between tracks when the crash happened. Could a dodgy MP3 be the cause?

I don't have any video or anything like that, though I am overclocking. Thanks in advance very much for any help offered. :-)

Just in case anyone else has this issue and is using the above script for music, I've converted my music files to .ogg and have been using the Pi for a week with no further crashes or errors. Must have been an .mp3 it didn't like. To be fair the author of the script states that you may need to convert to .ogg, and it does seem to have been the case.
