Final Burn Alpha on the pi (lr-fba-next) plays the entire Metal Slug series flawlessly. Game on.
PS: is Alena your creation? thought your username rang a bell...
-
@senkun Final Burn Alpha, cool. I'll get that. And I'll try to find the roms too. :D
PS: yes, I created her! Haha, nice that you recognize her. -
mslug games are neo geo, so they'd need the neogeo.zip as well.
ps: awesome! nice to have you around here ;p
-
Donkey Kong homebrew for the Atari 2600 (link).
-
Truxton (Mega Drive), Einhander (PS1) and bunch of Atari 2600 games like Demon Attack, Berzerk or H.E.R.O!
-
@shu1720 I love H.E.R.O!
-
donpachi! great cave shooter (the first one they did, as it happens)
so far can only get to stage 3 on 1 credit but early days!
-
Crazy, zany fun for everyone! I can never get tired of the Parodius series! Started out poking fun at Darius, ended up outclassing it in almost every way, if you haven't played Parodius you're missing out on one of the most entertaining side scrollers there is.

I've been playing Pokemon Stadium 2 with my niece and nephew as they're big fans of Pokemon but have never really played any of the games. I should probably figure out how to use save states so if possible I can use one that has all the GB Pokemon transfered over. They've also been playing Pokemon Dungeon Fire Team Red. As for myself, a dose of LSD Dream Emulator and some Jet Set Radio to pass the time.
-
@DxFx
my pal showed me the LSD game the other day - secretly the most terrifying game ever made! :) -
@dankcushions For it's time I'd have to agree. Eventhough there isn't much gameplay other than running around and bumping into walls, things can get pretty ominous the longer you go. Like the dreams where there's writing everywhere and pictures of Japanese girls all over the walls freak me out. Especially when it happens in the Murder District because that's where The Shadowman likes to strike.

Castelvania Aria of Sorrow on GBA :)
-
Metroid Fusion on GBA, never played it before and loving it so far :) Also playing Wipeout 2097 (XL) on PSX, sweet game and great music.
-
PSX - Tekken 3..
Me and my friends always play tekken 3 battles during the weekend. those nights lasts from 1am till 5am non-stop. Best console I have ever built..

Then you MUST play POP2. The best game ever made. It works w/ dosbox on my Pi. But there are reasonable ports on the following platforms too:
- Sega Megadrive (beta version, never officially released, downloadable from the internet!)
- SNES (misses the epic "Escher" finale).
- The game can also be unlocked in the Xbox NTSC version of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
- [edit 4-5-2016] Found out that the Mac version is 640 x 480 where as the Win version is 320 x 240. Will try to play this one on my Pi via this tutorial.

My roommate and i are trying to beat Stone Protectors for SNES. it is a beatemup that is based on a short lived straight to VHS cartoon that was Trolls geared toward boys. This is a gem i stumbled on. The combat system is pretty in depth. All the characters have unique move sets, animations, and special moves. You should really play this if yo havent already!

@JoargTheBard Looks pretty sweet! Added to my list for the next night my buddy comes round!

Really enjoying Ys Books 1&2 and Dynastic Hero on the PC-Engine Super CD. And when those two are finally completed, I'll start playing the Valis series.
