Settings file empty
-
Hello people,
I have recently noticed that my EmulationStation ain't saving the settings I change..
I took a look at the files and I noticed that es_settings.cfg is empty, both in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation and ~/.emulationstation
I also get the following errors when booting up RetroPie:
lvl0: Could not parse Settings file! No document element found lvl0: System "ags" is missing name, path, extension, or command! lvl0: Error parsing XML file "/home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists/retropie/gamelist.xml"! No document element found lvl0: Error parsing XML file "/home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists/retropie/gamelist.xml"! No document element found
I have tried to update EmulationStation from source but that didn't change anything sadly :(
Anyone know what could cause this issue?
----- EDIT -----
I have even tried to write the files myself, but they just get wiped o.O

That's the same folder, one is a shortcut to the other. Exit ES, remove the settings file, re-install ES from the RetroPie setup script and then restart.
Make sure the~/.emulationstation
folder is writeable by thepi

@mitu
Thank you very much for your suggestion :DThough, for me that wasn't the issue... I'm kinda embarrassed to say that my issue were that I accidentally filled up my SD Card, so the system couldn't write anything on it ^^

@son_of_diablo It happens more than you realise, especially when you're starting to add ROMs and experimenting.
