Hi, very new to the technical side of this so apologies if I'm asking foolish questions. I previously had a Pi 3 with Retropie 4.3 installed, plus my favourite ROMs all setup.

I bought a 3B+, only to find I need a new version of Retropie; the suggestions I'm reading lead me to believe I should do this as a fresh install rather than try to upgrade, which I've done, but I have none of my games as a result.

I still have my previous setup as a backup img; is there a simple way of transferring all the ROMs from that to the new 4.3.15 install?

You need to copy the ROM folders contents to your PC or a USB stick, then transfer them over to the new image as you did initially. You might have to write your backup image back to the card in order to copy the ROMs.
