Have to use a keyboard to exit roms
-
I'm on a Raspberry Pi 3, with Stretch installed, and Retropie 4.4 installed. I use original PS3 controllers. Before, when I mapped the controllers in Emulation Station, I used the PS button as my hotkey. Then, when playing games, all I had to do was press PS and B, and that would exit the game. Now, for some reason, I have to back out using the "ESC" button on a keyboard to get out. I looked at retroarch config, and from what I can tell, the only exit is mapped to the "ESC" button. I'm always wary of messing with config files, so does anyone know how I could change it to use the hotkey and "B" to exit? I've read through everything, but maybe I'm just misunderstanding what I need to understand. Thanks for the help!

@monkey820 If you selected the PS button as
Hotkey
in the input configuration, then PS + Start should exit the emulator. Which emulator are we talking about ? -
@mitu It usually worked on all the emulators that I played, such as MAME, NES, N64. Now, they all need the esc key.

@monkey820 Reconfigure your input and don't choose a buton for the Hotkey, at the end it will ask you if you'd like to use
Select
as Hotkey. Choose ok and you'll be able to use theSelect
as hotkey and exit emulators withSelect + Start

@mitu Thank you, I'll give that a shot!

@mitu Thank you for the help! It didn't work, but then I got to thinking, just for the heck of it, why not take out the keyboard and dongle. That fixed everything. Thanks to the community for putting up with a noob.
