Hi, I just made a fresh install of retropie 4.4 and launched ES menu scraper, after few games scraped, ES close and goes to terminal telling: terminate called after throwing an instance of 'char const'*

I could locate that the error appears with "1945kiii-image.png", so I rename another .png to bypass that error and all looks to work good now.

The rom md5sum is (file corrupted?):
      45fb93856bdf172467461e45d430cf69

      And the image md5sum is:
      ea7c0c8e81c6d6e702d373cb61aa7a79

Info: Rpi 3, retropie 4.4 fresh install, roms from usb 64 gb kingstom, TV 43" 4k (resize image error?)

I added this topic to scraper github issues, but not sure if it is an scraper error XD.

      bb!

@flop Can you still reproduce the error ? You could manually scrape the game and see if ES still crashes. If yes, could you upload your gamelist.xml (or the portion related to the ROM) to pastebin.com to take a look at it ?

I also have just had this problem with 1945kiii. Emulationstation crashes when item selected/highlighted in FBA.
Not knowing much about retropie files or file structure, I deleted game from roms/fba and put game into mame-libretro instead. Now i can selected/highlight it in mame but no info is displayed as I assume its not in mame gamelist.

When I scrape it, its found correctly but again pressing A to select and get the details crashes emulationstation.
Also game wont play in mame so needs to be in FBA anyway. Any and all help greatly appreciated. JJ

I got the exact same issue today when Scraping. Error occurs when it reaches 1945kiii ROM.
Retropie 4.4...newest possible update. Updated October 29'th. Raspberry Pi 3 B+.
Scraper Settings: Selected only 1(Final Burn Alpha), changed to other setting other than missing image(believe it was all), and I have user input turned off so its all auto.
Works fast and fine until it hits 1945kiii. Going to attempt to delete the Rom and then update gamelist, and then Scrape again to see if there are more culprits further down.

Edit Oct. 31'st Solved: I deleted the 1945kiii, and still got the error, then I deleted the kai one above or below it and scraper is working fine now. So one of those games was causing the issue.

I can also reproduce the problem - it's seems because of the boxart file, it crashes ES during resizing. Strangely, it happens only on the Pi - ES on Windows happily resized the image and on Ubuntu a prompt appeared with an error about resizing.

@mitu So a workaround could be to manually add a scrape image (with the right size) for that game to the gamelist.xml.

@UDb23 Yes, this way if you use the scrape all option within the ES scraper it will skip it automatically. This is the boxart available on thegamesdb.net site.
