      I remember being able to customize the controls from within the game and it would save it. Now any changes aren't kept after exiting. I have a backup config.cfg file that shows the controls I want, so something changed that causes the config file to restore to default after every exit. Editing the retroarch.cfg seems to have no effect either.

      Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 3b
      Power Supply used: 5.1v 2.5a
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.3.17
      Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website, updated to 4.3.17
      USB Devices connected: dongle for wireless keyboard
      Controller used: Official PS3 Controller

        Welp, I'm an idiot. I can easily customize them in the retroarch menu and save them there, just like the docs say. Mods, feel free to delete this if you feel the need.
