Controls mess up after I open a game.
-
I build a tabletop arcade system with 2 "dragonrise inc. generic USB joystick" controllers but everytime I open a game it messes up the controls and I can no longer use start and select to exit. When I restart my pi by turning it off and on I notice all my controls are put in places where they weren't originally mapped. Has anyone else come across this issue? I have been working on trying to get a fix for days but I just can't seem to find one so I finally decided to ask the internet for some help, Thanks.

You may be affected by an issue that was recently resolved in how controllers are assigned in RetroArch. Try updating your RetroPie-Setup script and then updating RetroArch. Of course, I'm making a lot of assumptions here, as you have not filled out the requested information found at:
https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
If updating doesn't work, please fill out that information and we can explore other options.

@jdog35421 or if you recently updated, any custom remaps are removed. You have remap your contols if that’s your issue

are you pulling the power cord? if so, you could be corrupting your card!
