      Hi everyone.
      I am having a lot of problems trying to connect my raspberry pi 3b+ with retropie 4.4 to a crt tv.
      If I connect the Rpi to my lcd tv over HDMI there is no problem at all everything goes smoothly. But when I try to do it over the composite output (which I need to connect the Rpi to the crt tv) the video splash image starts to stutters a lot, it is not fluid at all.
      But later on once the front end is loaded, the roms preview videos are fine.

      Anyone knows how to solve this problem.

      Why over hdmi it goes fine and over composite is not?

        @yesansa Yes, it's a known problem on Raspbian Stretch, see https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/17864/raspberry-pi-ridiculously-slow-when-splashscreen-service-is-enabled.

          Thanks Mitu!!

          It seems that adding/enabling these lines in the config.txt fixes the problem

          sdtv_mode=2 #My tv is PAL
          sdtv_aspect=1 #4:3
          audio_pwm_mode=0
          dtparam=audio=on (this one is enabled by default)
