@ecks I tried both Alisa and Anna's story and got crashes with both of them. The first time I played on Alisa's story and got to the point where you get the dude with the sniper rifle before it crashed, since then I can barely do a single combat section without issues.

I'll fill out my pi info later when I'm home.

both your config files are non-standard. they should be much shorter. i would consider resetting both to the retroarch.cfg-rp-dist backup files found in their respective folders.

@dankcushions Thanks, I reverted to using the backup cfgs and played the game some more, it still froze.

If anyone notices the cue file not pointing to the correct bin in one of my log files, ignore that, I've corrected it, no idea how the game was still booting.

@rafaelia do you have the enhanced graphics setting turned on in the retroarch gui’s quick menu, options? If yes then turn it off and test.

Are you sure you didn't download a corrupted version of the game and also in my opinion if you have a friend that still owns the game to just rip the game cause i still own Front Mission 3 just my PS1's doesn't work anymore cause i had it modded for the imports that i bought and was running the disc on a older PC i used for PS1 emulation.

I think I've solved this issue, I reinstalled lr-pcsx-rearmed from source, overclocked my pi and obtained a new dump of the game, haven't had any issues since!

@rafaelia So, most likely a ROM problem ?

All honesty man i think he did have a rom problem and didn't know it cause like myself i would usually download games that i own on disc still (cause i haven't had a disc drive in my main system in ages and my back up is only like 4x) but of course when i got my external drive i ripped all of my games which worked better cause certain sites would usually upload on there bad versions which most of the time the people that tested it would test like an hour into the game.

@mitu It's possible but I think it was my installation of lr-pcsx-rearmed because I had another psx game crash on me which now works fine since updating it.
