How to enter emulator settings in game?

I was wondering how you enter the emulator settings from in game? I am trying to tweak n64 games to play properly and I can not figure out how to get to the settings that I need to change for glide, rice and so on. Any help is much appreciated!

@syc0maniac you need to just open up the config file and manually edit it. For the non libretro n64 emulators i dont believe there is any way to.

Oh, Ok. I thought there was a hot key to press to get to said menu?

@syc0maniac there is no in game menu for standalone mupen64plus. Out of curiosity what are you trying to change?

@quicksilver I am trying to dial in n64 games to play better. :( I need to tweak the settings for the majority of the games and then individually for the ones that need more attention.
