      Hi there,

I have built a project using the official 7“ rpi Touch screen display to play retropie. The screen is powered by the pi GPIO and connected via the ribbon cable to the pi. I would like to be able to play retropie on a larger screen and would like my system to autodetect the hdmi cable and screen display size when plugged in. I can workaround this by adding and uncommenting ‘ignore_lcd=1’ in /boot/config.txt which drives the display through the hdmi cable and then amending the video setting in retro arch to 16:9 which fills my tv. However I would love for this to be automatic when an hdmi cable is plugged in. Does anyone know how to achieve this?

      Cheers!
