Berzerk with no sound. (Yes I did used samples)

Hi,
I am having trouble with the sounds for Berzerk. I put the Berzerk samples in the sample folder in the bios folder and I don't hear any sound and yes I am using MAME2003. I redownloaded both the rom and the sample and nothing changed. Any clue of what's the problem? -
the samples should go in bios/mame2003/samples/

@keithmason me and markwidd done some updates to mame2003 on may12 to fix the samples check your on commit 80b83cc if not update from source.
