      good evening

i have the odroid-c2 rev0.2 20171114 with the 8GB eMMC card and the RTC module. it is powered by a ravpower usb power block that supplies 2.4A per port. i have the logitech f710 controller and a rii keyboard.

i've used https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Odroid-C1-C2/ to build retropie on the odroid-c2. i imaged the eMMC with ubuntu64-16.04.3-mate-odroid-c2-20170927.img and followed the ubuntu 16 instructions to disable the gui, etc. i ran apt-get install and upgrade, but i did not apply any held back updates. then i followed the instructions to get the retropie-setup downloaded and running.

the installation finished without error and i am able to run emulationstation. everything seems to work except for retroarch itself. it will load roms automatically from usb and it will even scrape.

when i run retroarch from the command line with the menu and verbose parameters, i first get a couple of warnings of "failed to bind api" on both mali-fbdev and wayland. shortly after that errors start happening with "failed to compile fragment shader" and "failed to initialize shader". it then goes on to fail to link and compile.

i've been poking around for several weeks trying to find an answer without any luck. maybe my google-fu is getting weak.

i assume that there is a package missing. does anyone know what i've missed?

      thanx
