@victimrlsh There have been some builds of people using the Ipega : http://ipega.hk/gamehandle/53-103.html . Here is one build posted on Reddit : https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/92im8t/i_made_this/ .

That looks pretty easy to use, might go that route. Thanks!

System Config: Retropie 4.4 with full desktop, RPi 3B, 256gb SD, 5v 2.1A 5,200 mAH USB battery. EasyMSX controller mounted with Pimoroni Hyperpixel 4 (non touch). Also running 4.6 on a 4gb Pi 4 serving as my primary desktop computer now.

Retropie in a NES - Pi 3 with Mausberry circuit shutdown switch wired to buttons and 8bitdo NesPro30 controller
Retropie in a Saturn Controller - Pi Zero, GPIO controls using DB9 driver
            Retropie in a PSX - Pi3

@markyh444 That was a cool build, but I'm looking for something that I can mount a large display on. The Ipega looks like it can handle it.

The current state of my controller mounted build. Still a lot to do, but I love the feel of this, and it doesn't detract at all from my play performance.

I was rebuilding this using the HORI mini, but just could not get a good feel at all. Keeping the same controller, but still losing the sound board and using the much smaller battery. I'm also considering removing the vibration motors from the controller to lose some weight.

Burn in testing the updated build before I replace pins with screws and finish up the case. New battery is 1/3 the size and weight, 5200mAh. Ditched the sound board (just using earbuds) and the external USB stick and put in a 256gb SD. Everything else is the same. This is a bit smaller and a LOT lighter, but still have a full size controller. It fits in a small camera bag but I have a hard case it can go in once I cut foam inserts for it.

Burn in passed, ~ 4hr battery life, which is perfect considering the size of the battery. Going to add a 1/32 polycarbonate screen cover with a blacked out border, add case screws, square off and deburr the case, then apply a shrink tape finish.

                      I really need a 3D printer...

@VictimRLSH Done, but what is this strange desire I have welling up in my soul to build a different one, isn't one enough?!? I think I caught a bug...
