Re: Useful topics/posts indexJoystick configuration issues: I know this question has probably been answered before but I haven't found a solution that works with my system yet. I have installed the c64 emulator vice on my raspberry pi 3. I transferred a rom into the rom directory (unzipped as in other emulators such as mame). The game loads up fine ok but I cannot get my joypad working with it which is one of the typical usb 4 buttons on top, 4 at the front and direction pad. I have tried going into the Machine settings and selecting joystick for the Joystick device 1 setting and keyset 1 for joystick device 2 as it wouldn't let me set a joystick for this. I then tried mapping joystick controls through the options but the button that I used to launch retropie A instead acts like a back button. I tried pressing another of the four buttons on top which brings up the polling message with the timeout. I tried pressing up on the direction pad to define this as up etc.. I am not sure what else I have to do because at the moment the game will start with the up button that brought up the polling screen and the fire button works in game but the direction pad doesn't. Also after you have played a game how do you go back to the screen which would let you select another game. Once again I am sure this question has probably been asked already but I have googled, looked at youtube videos and other forums in an unsuccessful attempt to find a solution to this issue.
