How do i add plugins/addons in Kodi under Retropie?
-
Hi
I am extreamly new to this. Never used a linux base system before.
So my main goal is to have RetroPie and Kodi on the same Rasberry PiRetroPie for all gaming and Kodi for IPTV mainly.
but there is no PVR IPTV Simple Client in kodi. And i have no idea how to add it manually.
can anyone help me?

To my understanding, there are no legal IPTV options available for Kodi and as such, installation cannot be discussed here. The use of PVR, on the other hand, is legal and support is built right into Kodi without the need for any addons. More information can be found here.

Okey well thats a bit strange, since the IPTV Simple Client addon is included in the rest of the distrubutions of kodi, like the windows and Mac versions

Kodi doesn't come with any content addons by default, regardless of platform. Perhaps we're talking about different things. Could you give me a link that references what you're looking for?
-
It looks like this is what you want. I was obviously wrong. Apparently a few addons are included, but disabled by default.

How about reading the wiki before asking questions in the forum ?

@fascix Most builds of kodi on a PC can or are built with everything needed. That so on a raspberry pi..I have tried. Even the linux build does not come with the Simple IPTV thing..you have to install it separately..did it once..never been able to figure it out again xD
That being said there are builds of kodi made specifically for the raspberry pi that I can assume have everything needed built in.
However I would suggest that you ask in the kodi forums as the team at retropie have NOTHING to do with kodi.

@akafox all the binary addons like the PVRs are available on Raspbian and therefore on RetroPie, they are packaged separately like in most linux distribution. They aren't installed by default because most people don't need them or just need one or two. The link of the wiki that I posted above explains how to search and install them.

thanx.
i solved it.
as i said in my first post, i am 100% new to retropie and Linux based systems. dont even k på the Most basic commands.
ended up using putty on my pc and run commands from there.any how, now i have another problem.
when i try to watch a iptv channel, it takes about 10 to 20 sec and then it skips back to channel list again.might be a kodi related issue so i Will ask there aswell. but if anyone know anything to solve this it would be great.
thanx -
You won't get help with kodi here. And nor will the kodi team help you with IPTV...piracy. They are trying to get away from that.
And more then likely if you are running kodi on the pi you are just going to get "lag" tough for that little thing to stream like that. Miracle it even can!
