lr-freeintv setup with retropie
-
I recently installed the emulator lr-freeintv on my retropie system which is running in a raspberry pi model 3 b+. I have got the intellivision logo appearing in emulation station but none of the intellivision roms work. According to what I have read on the github page there are two bios files i need to install exec.bin and grom.bin. I haven't been able to find these files to download anywhere. Also not sure what the MD5 hash part means. Can anyone tell me where to find these files, how to install them and if installing them will affect retropie working with emulators for other platforms such as mame and vice for c64 that i have installed. Any help greatly appreciated.

. Can anyone tell me where to find these files,
Please read the forum rules, there's no sharing/linking to copyrighted material. Unless they're free/public domain, this is not the place to ask.
The MD5 hash is a checksum, to ensure you have the correct files. Once you have the file, you can runmd5sum <filename>
from a terminal/SSH session and compare the output to the checksum posted in the Wiki, making sure your file is correct and it's not some random garbage. -
@mitu Can you tell me where I can find those files for the bios, which folders to put them in and how and if doingvso will affect any other emulators. I apologise for not posting in the correct manner but as you can see I am new to this forum and really need some help.

@melbmatt50 BIOS files, like ROMs, are copyrighted material so asking for links is strictly prohibited under forum rules.
BIOS files for Intellivision can usually be found in the same location as INTV ROMs but they may not have the name you are expecting. For example,
exec.bin
may be referred by its full nameExecutive ROM, The (1978)(Mattel).bin
.For reference,
exec.bin
, or its alternative name, is 8.2KB in size when unzipped andgrom.bin
is 2KB. Don't worry about changing the names, the BIOS files should work as they are.For all info on setting up Intellivision emulators, including where to place the BIOS files, refer to the Docs: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Intellivision/
The BIOS files will not affect the running of any other emulators.
