Cannot connect Bluetooth LE keyboard Logitech K830
-
Hi there,
I have the logitech K830 keyboard + trackpad [1]. It works great with the logitech dongle, but it's also supposed to have bluetooth LE connectivity, which would free one of the USB port.
Sadly, I cannot connect it at all with bluetooth. Bluetoothctl might indicate it's paired, but the keyboard itself never give an indication of successful pairing (green light keep blinking). During various attempts the bluetooth service regularly crash as well, and I see:
Failed to pair: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply Waiting to connect to bluetoothd...
I found this related issue in launchpad, but it's from 2016, and so I'm sure what I should expect from the current state or raspbian / retropie with regards to the issue:
Can't connect Logitech K830 - no PIN prompt [LE]
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1531925For info, my setup is as follow:
- Raspberry Pi 3B+
- Retropie 4.4 (with fresh udpates)
- uname -a
Linux retropie 4.14.62-v7+ #1134 SMP Tue Aug 14 17:10:10 BST 2018 armv7l GNU/Linux
Bluetooth is otherwise not having any issue, I have successfully connected 3 8bitdo controllers and they work fine.
Has anyone experienced this and know how I could fix it on my retropie setup?
Thanks!

Add --experimental to the end of the bluetoothd command line used by the systemd service unit (LE won't work without it), daemon-reload and restart bluetooth and see if it works then.
