I’m using a RP B+ with a custom game pad including a 4-position joystick and 5 buttons. When initially mapping the game pad, EmulationStation will not recognize any of the GPIO pins. I can map controls use a USB keyboard.

I’ve enabled I2C, Serial and SPI on the RP. How can I setup and map my RP to my custom game pad?

      Please help!

@engrdanny Emulationstation by itself does not read inputs directly, but uses the SDL library to handle the gamepad, which in turn needs the OS to recognize it. Which driver are you using to configure your custom gamepad ? Is the gamepad recognized by jstest ?
