      I have try to add a video screensaver but i still have the same thing (black screen)
      I want to know the right way to add a video Screensaver
      I have
      Raspberry pi 3B+
      Retropie 4.4.2
      32 GB SD Card
      5V 2.5A power supply....

        The screensaver will pick one of the video snaps scraped for your ROMs. So the only way to add it is to associate a video with one of your ROMs. You can do so by editing the game/ROM (press Select) and entering the path to the video you copied on your system.

          @mitu Just out of curiosity, does the screen saver look in the gamelist.xml or the ~RetroPie/roms/[system]/images directory itself?
          As for the problem, if @Ahmed only sees a black screen, couldn't it also be an incompatible video format like yuv444p?

            @clyde It's the gamelist file from what I've seen in the source.

              I have tried that but its still the same.
              I just put a folder for (screensaver) on
              home/pi... But I don't Know what I have to write exactly because a lot of people saying different things...
              Can you give me example about what i have to write?

                If you copied the video file in /home/pi/screensaver_folder/file.ext, then go to one of your ROMs in emulationstation, press Select and choose to Edit Metadata. Go to the Video entry and enter the path to the video, i.e. /home/pi/screensaver_folder/file.ext.
                Replace screensaver_folder and file.ext with the actual file and folder names from your system.
