Very new here and I've searched quite a bit without little luck. Wondering if it's possible to group consoles by company, for example:

      Nintendo
      ---NES
      -------<games>
      ---SNES
      -------<games>
      ---SNES Translations
      -------<games>

      Sega
      ---Master System
      -------<games>
      ---Genesis
      -------<games>

Essentially organizing the top layer into companies. I've tried custom collections, but can't go more than one layer. I've got a custom system setup this way, but can't define multiple emulator targets. I suspect this isn't supported, but thought I'd toss out the question. The goal really is to clean up the top layer, instead of having n consoles, it'd be just a few companies. Would pair well with a modified chicuelo theme.

      Thanks in advance!

Not really, because the way systems (top level folders) are configured is per-console/emulator set. So while you could have this hierarchy implemented - with some degree of customization - the Runcommand would be using a single emulator set (the one configured for the system, not vendor) for all the hierarchy levels, which would make ROM launching to not work in sub-folders. For instance, the Nintendo system would know only start the NES emulator(s) to run the ROMs so starting a ROM in the SNES sub-folder would not work.

The themes are also not expecting system nesting so the sub-folders would be shown just as regular ROMs in the view, but I guess that could be forgiven.

You might want to see if Attract-Mode supports this kind of setup.

Thanks for the quick reply, It's what I suspected. I've gotten it partially working in attract mode and starting to play with pegasus now.

          Cheers

@nevisx Think about using favorites on ES. There you can collect your files so maybe a list with NES translations and NES Homebrew will help you. Real folders are not intendent to work .......

There is a bug in ES that makes folder navigation possible.

But it needs modified scripts to define right emulator calls - from the edge view it is possible with lots of manual editing gameslist files.
