I changed my avsp.zip rom to a different version. I usually use final burn to load it. but now it will not load in final burn anymore. I can load it in mame and fba2012, but the regular fba core, which is the one I need it to load in, will not load. I tried generating the rom list for my arcade folder as well but that did not pick it up either.

@tobas said in replaced rom in my arcade folder with a different version, now it will not load.:

        edit: what are .nv files?

They're NVRAM files - used to save settings for the ROM.

As for your problem - this has been beaten to death both in the docs and in the forums. You need to correct ROM for the emulator used, and the easiest way is to get a complete ROM set corresponding to your emulator and use the ROM from the set. Start at the Quick start and then find the ROM set for the FBAlpha version you use (currently in RetroPie at v0.2.97.43).
