Ok, so basically I want to use the wireless mouse I’ve got for super scope games since I don’t have a crt anymore so my actual super scope and games just collect dust atm. I know the mouse works just fine, as on another sd card with the standard raspbian desktop on it, the mouse works just fine. It’s an m185 logitech Mouse. No matter what i do there no movement by the cursor on screen, I’ve changed the mouse index but it doesn’t work, I’ve changed inputs, turned off the wireless keyboard that comes with the mouse to see if somehow RetroPie could only recognize one at a tome, unplugged and plugged in the wireless usb transmitter to each usb slot, restarted the system and even did a full reinstall. I’ve got a usb wired mouse from the early 2000s that works just fine, but i’d really like to get the wireless one going.

My next issue isn’t quite as severe but it’s still a bit annoying...I’m trying to get my switch pro controller’s inputs to be recognized on the main RetroPie screen where you select your system, and i can get everything right up until the the left analog stick, it never reads the direction to the right (I believe it would be considered axis 0+ if the opposite direction is anything to go by) it doesn’t read anything at all.

The weird thing is, in the retroarch menu screen for inputs, it reads it just fine, but on the RetroPie screen it doesn’t.

I don’t have any games that use the joystick so it’s not really a big issue, but it is slightly annoying.

Anyway, does anyone have any advice on how to correct these issues

Also might as well ask this as well, if the joystick issue can be fixed, is there a way to use it instead of a mouse?
