I had to drive over to my local MicroCenter store today to pick up some blank media and a WIFI Dongle (which didn't work). While there browsing the latest tech, I saw a full size arcade cabinet set up at the end of one island, and a mini bar-cab at the next one. Ok, no biggie really. They apparently offer the kit for the mini bar for $699, and the cab prebuilt for $999. Not sure what the price on the full size cab was. Nobody was playing it, but I saw it running the video screensaver that I know for a fact I was part of the testing team for the development of it. I watched 3 or 4 videos go by, each with the subtitle active saying the name of the game and the system it was on. Funny thing, all the videos were illegally pirated roms! So now we have a (somewhat) well known retailer offering cabs and showcasing them prebuilt and running, with RetroPie and the video screensaver. Doesn't that just kinda tick you off? I'm not sure about the legal implications here, but it just kinda rubs me the wrong way. Here I thought I was doing something really cool that benefited a small niche community, and it turns out somebody is banking in on it. If you guys want PROOF, I'm sure I can get a couple of photos with my phone when I go to return the WIFI dongle.

@hansolo77 Yeah, if they are using pirated roms that's not exactly legal to display in store. Morally, it doesn't bother me that it's on display but it does bother me when people try to make money selling retropie and roms. Selling something you got for free like that is pretty scummy.

I'm assuming that the cabinets sold don't include retropie or roms, but little surprises me anymore.

You can find such [number of games]-in-one cabinets even on "respectable" (cough) platforms like Ebay and Amazon, whereas I seriously doubt that the seller acquired all of the neccessary [number of games] licenses for distribution.
