I’m looking to get my RetroPie up and running again, but have no idea where my SD card is, so I’m starting fresh.

I was wondering if there was anyway I could pre-configure the .img to install / enable VNC so I can log in via my Mac while I am configuring everything, rather than plugging in a keyboard and mouse to my Pi.

Also, is there anyway I can pre-configure the .img with my Wi-fi SSID and password before flashing to the SD Card?

Could I use something like PiBakery?

      Cheers,
      Stewart

you don't need a keyboard to configure retropie, but yeah VNC won't work with the rendered elements retropie uses. you can SSH in an configure stuff via the command line/retropie scripts.

no, only after, but you can do it directly on the SD card on your PC after you write the image. https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Wifi#connecting-to-wifi-without-a-keyboard
