Setting up multiple Bluetooth devices with Retropie
-
am in the process of building a portable retropie unit with a touchscreen. The mini keyboard and controller that I got are both Bluetooth. From what I have learned (i may be wrong here) using multiple Bluetooth devices with retropie (i am using 4.4.2) and raspberry pi 3 b+ is quite difficult to set up. Am wondering if it just may be easier to swap one of rhem for a wired mini keyboard or wired controller.

@melbmatt50 Where did you learned that ?

One of the Facebook groups for Retropie help I was told that setting up more than one Bluetooth Device was complicated with Retropie and Raspberry Pi. Can you give me instructions because I haven't been able to find the answer for multiple just single Blueutooth controllers

@melbmatt50 Settings up multiple controllers is the same as setting up one - just repeat the process for each controller. Can you give me the URL of the conversation you had on FB, maybe there are other factors that the poster considered ? Thanks.

It was over a week ago so might be lost in the deluge of Facebook posts. I think I was under the impression that Raspberry Pi had issues with more than one Bluetooth device. Can you supply instructions or a link for how to set up a single device?

@melbmatt50 I've had luck with this method as recently as this week: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Bluetooth-Controller
